The Holy Hand Grenade

Why are there SO many different views of the rapture? In this episode of The Holy Hand Grenade, we break down the 5 major rapture positions — pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, preterism, and the belief that there is no rapture at all — and explain why Christians debate this topic so intensely.
Before diving into the different views, we tackle some of the most confusing prophetic terms in Bible prophecy like the elect, the Day of the Lord, tribulation, wrath, and more. A lot of the disagreement surrounding the rapture actually comes down to definitions, timing, and how people interpret prophetic passages across Scripture.
Whether you’re firmly pre-trib, leaning post-trib, completely confused, or just curious about end times prophecy, this episode will help you understand where each side is coming from and why this debate has lasted for generations. Hopefully we will help clear up the confusion!

We cover:
Pre-Tribulation Rapture
Mid-Tribulation Rapture
Post-Tribulation Rapture
Preterism / “Already Fulfilled”
No Rapture View
The Elect in Scripture
The Day of the Lord
Wrath vs Tribulation
Why prophecy debates get so heated
Key Bible passages behind each position

Is baptism necessary for salvation? Does baptism save you? In 1 Corinthians 1:14–17, Paul clearly separates baptism from the gospel—and that changes everything!
In this Short Fuse episode of The Holy Hand Grenade, we break down what Paul actually meant when he said, “Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel.” If baptism is required for salvation, why would Paul say that? Was he minimizing it... or clarifying something massive about grace?
We walk verse by verse through 1 Corinthians 1:14–17 and explain why baptism and the gospel are not the same thing. Salvation is by grace through faith, not by ritual, ceremony, or works. And once you see it in the text, you can’t unsee it!
If you've ever wondered:
👉 Is water baptism required to be saved?
👉 Why did Paul say he was glad he didn’t baptize many?
👉 Are faith and baptism separate?
This episode is for you!

What if Satan didn’t lose by accident…
What if the cross was actually his greatest strategic failure... the one move that sealed his defeat forever?
In today’s episode of The Holy Hand Grenade, we dive into what might be Satan’s greatest mistake — and it’s hiding in plain sight in 1 Corinthians 2:6–9.
Paul says something absolutely WILD: That the rulers of this world didn’t understand God’s plan, because if they had… they never would have crucified the Lord of glory.
That means Satan thought he was winning… …but the cross was actually the trap. 😈➡️✝️➡️👑
So what exactly were these “hidden mysteries”? Who are the “rulers of this age”? And how does this connect to spiritual warfare, prophecy, and the unseen battle behind history?
We’re unpacking it all. Bible open, gloves off, and yes… with a few holy hand grenades thrown in for good measure. 💣📖 📖

Ever notice how the Bible talks about two very different comings of Jesus? 🤔 In this episode of The Holy Hand Grenade Podcast, we dig into why the Rapture and the Second Coming are not the same event... and why it matters!
We’ll look at how Scripture paints two radically different pictures:
⚡ The Rapture → Comes like a thief in the night 🕛, no one knows the day or hour, believers caught up in the air, and the world is totally unprepared. ⚔
The Second Coming → Every eye will see Him 👀, the timing can be calculated from key events, and the armies of the earth are literally waiting to fight Him.
We’ll compare verses side-by-side, have a few laughs (as always), and show you how this prophecy puzzle comes together in a way that makes perfect sense.
Whether you’re new to Bible prophecy or a seasoned end-times nerd, you’ll walk away with a fresh excitement for the hope we have in Christ. And maybe even a grin or two. 😄
📖 Scriptures covered: Matthew 24, 1 Thessalonians 4, Revelation 19, and more!
